This past week, I also participated in the FIMO 50 World Project. They extended the registration time, so I was able to create two tiles for this wonderful project. To read all about this project, just click on FIMO 50 World Project. It was wonderful to see all the beautiful tiles that were created from around the globe! Here are the tiles that I created:
From the quote: "Love, like a river, will cut a new path
whenever it meets an obstacle."
Mosaic Stepping Stone
Since we are celebrating 50 years, I decided to create some tiles that had to do with my creative journey over the years. It began with beading (first stepping stone) and then I was introduced to polymer clay and the doors swung open. It was not only fun but therapeutic for me. I quickly found out how generous the polymer clay community is in sharing their love for this medium. I learned from instructors, from members of my guild, and from all the sharing that happens on polymer clay groups on Facebook. I found out there is no such thing as "mistakes" in this medium, sometimes our "mistakes" end up becoming some wonderful surprises. I will say that it is a learning experience and it is fun exploring your creative side. I am thankful that I have a hobby where I can use my hands and creativity, and also have an opportunity to bless someone.
And since today was Mother's Day, I will share a gift I received from my grand kids. I am truly blessed! Is this not cute or what?
I hope all the moms out there had a Happy Mother's Day as well. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
