A Pendant Swap and A Bead Soup Giveaway

Well, I am finally posting the pendants from our guild (AZPCG) Pendant Swap. I actually didn't get to go this past weekend, but I had a friend drop mine off at the meeting. She also was nice to drop them off at my house after the meeting, otherwise I would have had to wait for a month to get my hands on them. I normally don't give up my monthly guild meeting but my daughter asked me to go to her childbirth class on that Saturday...no brainer, I said yes immediately.  I plan to be in the labor room with her along with her hubby. Her hubby happened to get sick, so I was the step-in-coach for the day. I am so excited about being a grandmother...my first!  So, here are the beautiful pendants from the swap. All our guild members are so talented and I am lucky to be part of this amazing group of artists!  It's tough to pick a favorite...they are all so beautiful!

And speaking of pendants, here are a few that I have been working on. I love the Spliced Cane but never know what else to do with it...so here are a few ideas that I came up with.

Now for the Giveaway...this Saturday, Lori Anderson from Pretty Things is giving away a free pint of Bead Soup to kick off her 3rd Bead Soup Blog Party. Please go to her website, Pretty Things to get all the details on how to win this pint size jar of beautiful beads!  My mind is racing on all the lovelies I could make with these beads!

Well thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Good luck on the giveaway!

Springtime Pendants

Well, I have been in a fog ever since I got over that yucky cold virus. I don't know why it has taken me so long to try and figure out something for a pendant swap but it has. I must have changed my mind several times. I just wasn't happy with anything that I came up with...ever happen to you?  Our guild is hosting a pendant swap for the month of February.  I procrastinated for a couple of weeks, then I was sick for a couple of weeks...then to top it off, I was missing my creative mojo. Here it's Thursday, and I am still working on them...three more to finish (17 total).  Here is a look at a few of them.

I used some stamps (of course they had to be flowers being that it is almost spring) that I had around...a little mica powders, alcohol inks, and gold and silver paints.  I decided to just sand and buff them. I figure if someone wants to put resin on them, they can, but I like them just the way they are.  I even kept one for myself.  Purple being one of my favorite colors...it was an easy pick.

Our pendant exchange is this Saturday, so I will post all the lovelies next week. I wonder what kind of necklaces I can make with 17 pendants...can't wait!

Hope you have a terrific day and thanks for stopping by!

Corazon Necklace Giveaway...and Construction Continues

Well, I am at the last days of this awful cold virus that has been going around. It has lasted over two weeks now. I can't remember a time that I was this sick. I am usually a very healthy person...hardly ever get a cold. Constuction continues...second week of that and almost seeing the end results.  Here are a couple of pictures.

Hopefully they will finish up the stone work by this weekend.

Now for the Giveaway. I would like to thank my friend Marlene from It's All About Creating who first posted this amazing giveaway. Lorena Angulo does amazing work in PMC and Bronze Metal Clay. I would love to someday be able to try it. It is quite over my budget but at least I can admire it when it is done so beautifully.  Lorena uses the heart in many of her beautiful creations. Isn't this Corazon a beautiful creation?!!
