My Beads from Norma's Clay

My beads from Norma's Clay arrived several days ago. I have been wanting to show them off but my internet has been down two days in a row...mostly in the afternoon from 12-5 (plus my hubby hogs the computer when he gets home from work), so they must working on something in my neighborhood.  My mornings are spent watering the lawn. We've also had record heat here for the past two days...115/116 temperatures! I still have two more weeks of physical therapy which cuts into my studio and computer time, but my knee is mending quite nicely. I was excited to get my beads from Norma....here they are!

The far bottom right pendants are presents from Norma...isn't she sweet!  So, I will be designing a piece using the these as the focal beads for the Bead Soup Blog Party.

These are kind of earthy...which will be a little stretch for me, but I have already started and I like the looks of my piece so far. It is funny how some people tend to work with certain colors. My colors tend to be purple, greens and blues. So, it is fun playing around with colors that you don't typically use. That is why I love challenges!  It makes you think outside the box and I need to practice that a whole lot more...but I am learning. I love that little owl that Norma made, it's adorable! And well, I have a fondness for dragonflies so, I'd say they are both perfect gifts. Thank you Norma!  Well, back to my studio. I plan on taking pictures of those spice jars today...so I will probably post those tomorrow if I don't have repeat of the last few days without the internet...ugh!

Thanks for stopping by and have a super day! Stay cool!

  1. I'm glad the gifts were just right. My owl is becoming famous. I sold a lot of them in different colors during the summer fairs I attended. Hope your knee keep improving.
